Jesus wrecked my life in 1995 when I met up with him in Tampico, Mexico on a short-term missions trip.

I’m the Director of Short Term Missions at Adventures In Missions,
passionate about seeing God awaken His church to Himself. My wife Amie
and three kids Sydney, Caden, and Olivia live in Gainesville Georgia,
where we’ve been figuring out – and living out life while serving with
AIM since 1997. AIM’s purpose is to serve the Church by providing a
venue for committed individuals to discover, develop, and be deployed in
their role as the Body of Christ.

I was raised in a Christian home with ministry-minded parents. I had
been following a carrier track of professional Christianity by
attending a Christian High School, Bible College, and then accepting
employment as a Youth Minister in a Church in the Omaha area.

While at
Avery Presbyterian Church, John Alford a youth pastor friend invited me
and some of my students to join him on a missions trip with AIM. That’s
when I first he peered into the eyes of poverty, I experienced a
debilitating measure of Christ that ruined me.

The text book version of
Jesus that defined me was forever decimated and exchanged for a “personal” relationship with the one who made me.
